Nora got home very tired and hungry.She had only tasted snacks she bought on her way coming back.But she didn't even notice the hunger,because what kept playing in her mind like a movie was Daniel asking if she was the new secretary,she was confuse.She arrived home only to meet an empty house as her siblings were still helping her mum at the shop.Nora quickly prepared something to eat and showered,only to doze off the minute she landed on the bed.She was to be woken up by David's voice.She had always wondered how such a boy at his age could have a deep voice.She went to the sitting room to welcomed her mom and gave her food to eat.After listening to her tales,her mom was more confuse than her, but being an optimistic person told her that all was well.Nora went to bed,but she was deprived of sleep as all she could think of was the day's event and what she could expect tomorrow.
She slept off in her thought only to be awoken by the alarm she set.She hurriedly wore her best cloth,a black skirt and white top as she do see in movies.She was looking more like a lawyer than a secretary.She smiled why admiring herself in the mirror,she was good to go.She quickly took a cab and headed for her supposed new temporary office at Maitama.One the way she became anxious again,what if she does not fit in,or Daniel finds out the truth,she was only seventeen she thought.She summoned up courage and entered the building,headed straight to Mr Wale's office.Mr Wake who was delighted to see her, quickly showed her, her new office;while coaching her on her new retinue.When he left,she could not believe her eyes she had an office to herself,not just an office,but one bigger than her room.She felt like screaming,but no she thought if she scream all she was seeing would disappear,she decided to cry.But she was still enjoying her view when Daniel,her boss and CEO walked in,she quickly greeted him and collected his bag,why arranging it and other files.All this while Daniel was silent,like nobody was there,she finished and was about leaving when he asked her how old she was.She began to sweat,cause she was scared of the outcome if he knew the truth,she had to lie.Twenty-two was her reply, he looked at her then told her to wear something better not some house cloth.She was shocked at his words, because this was her Christmas cloth.Nora quickly used her little savings to buy some cloth her money could afford as she was determined to at least keep the job for the time being.The next day while she was given Daniel his coffee as usual he looked at her and asked her while she couldn't cover herself,why she was trying to seduce him.Nora was speechless as the skirt she wore covered her knee.But worst was yet to come,whe he said she acted like a whore.This is it,it has to end here she thought.Damn the job and him too.She looked at him and told him "look here Mr Daniel,you have money yes,but did you work for any of them.Every one around you is scared of you because of how terrible you are.Now to your statement,am not a whore and I can't seduce someone like you,cause you are not my type.She walked out slamming the door straight to her office, with her heart already in her mouth.
